Proper packaging is the first and most crucial step in ensuring your items arrive safely at their international destination. Here’s your guide to preparing your package and understanding how Kakobuy handles it.
Before Sending to Kakobuy’s Warehouse
1. Secure Your Items
Wrap each item individually. Use bubble wrap, foam sheets, or air pillows for fragile items like electronics, glassware, or ceramics. Ensure no parts are loose and can rattle inside their original boxes.
2. Choose a Sturdy Outer Box
Select a new, double-walled corrugated cardboard box if possible. The box should be large enough to accommodate cushioning materials but not so large that items can shift excessively during transit.
3. Internal Cushioning is Key
Fill all voids with adequate cushioning material—packing peanuts, crumpled paper, or additional bubble wrap. The goal is to prevent any movement inside the box when shaken.
4. Seal Thoroughly
Use strong plastic packing tape to seal all seams and edges of the box. Reinforce the bottom and top thoroughly. Avoid using duct tape or masking tape as they are not designed for shipping strength.
