Step-by-Step Recording Procedure
Step 1: Initiate Record Upon Repacking Completion
Immediately after the repacking is finished, access the package's tracking or management page in the BBDBuy system. Locate and click the "Log Repacking Details" button.
Step 2: Input Core Adjustment Data
Fill in the following mandatory fields in the digital form:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Date & Time of Repack | The exact date and time when the repacking was finalized (automatically timestamped is preferable). |
| Final Weight | The new weight of the package after repacking, in kilograms (kg) or pounds (lbs), using calibrated scales. |
| Final Dimensions | The new length, width, and height of the package after repacking, in consistent units (e.g., cm or in). |
| Repacking Reason | Select from dropdown options: Consolidation, Removal of Retail Packaging, Damaged Box Replacement, Void Fill Reduction, Other. |
Step 3: Upload Proof Photos (Essential)
Visual evidence is non-negotiable. Upload clear, well-lit photographs including:
Photo A: The Final Repacked Package on the Scale
The scale display showing the final weight must be clearly visible alongside the package.
Photo B: Measuring Tape on Final Dimensions
Show the tape measure against the package's length, width, and height to verify new dimensions.
Photo C: Overview of Removed/New Materials
Show the old box, removed filling, or any discarded materials next to the new, repacked box.
Ensure photos are sharply focused and include the package's shipping label/hawb number for reference.
Step 4: Save and Notify
Submit the form. The system should automatically generate a log entry linking the data and photos to the package's history. An update should be triggered to the customer's order page, noting "Package Repacked - Details and Photos Updated."
